On 25 September, the CM1 pupils enjoyed a wonderful induction day, centred on cooperation, creativity and a friendly atmosphere.
- Challenges to learn how to work together
Throughout the day, the pupils were invited to take on various challenges that called upon their team spirit, critical thinking and communication skills.
Among these, the STEM Challenge ‘Save Fred’ particularly put their ingenuity to the test. Divided into small groups, the pupils had to help Fred, a little earthworm, reach his lifebuoy, using only the materials provided and adhering to specific constraints. It was a real challenge that enabled them to develop their creativity, their powers of observation and their ability to solve problems together.
Other challenges also put their cooperation to the test: solving a maze without touching the pen, or tracing a drawing without being able to see it! These fun activities taught them to listen to one another, trust each other and join forces to achieve a common goal.
- A collaborative mural to give free rein to their creativity
Next, it was time to let their imaginations run wild as they created a collaborative mural on the theme of *The Little Prince*. Everyone was able to add their own personal touch to this collective work, whilst ensuring it formed part of a shared project. A wonderful way to combine creativity, personal expression and team spirit.
- Sharing moments in the open air
The day also continued with group games in the park, offering the pupils a chance to relax and bond.
At lunchtime, everyone gathered for a picnic in glorious sunshine, in the exceptional setting of the school grounds. It was a convivial occasion, perfect for chatting and laughter, which helped to strengthen the bonds between the pupils.
A day full of discoveries and excitement!
Through these various workshops, the pupils were able to experience first-hand the importance of helping one another, listening to others and respecting everyone. A wonderful way to start the school year, to strengthen the group’s cohesion and to create lovely memories together.
