From June 6 to 29, 2026, three high school students and six middle school students from Ombrosa did a three-week immersion internship in five schools located in the Kantô region of Japan.
Thanks to staying with host families, the students were able to experience everyday life in Japanese households. At school, they attended classes with Japanese students and, after class, had the chance to take part in various club activities, such as ikebana (Japanese flower arranging), kyûdô (Japanese archery), or competitive karuta (a traditional Japanese card game). Some students even had the opportunity to participate in their school’s culture festival.
This stay was also a great chance to discover Japanese culture in all its facets, from temples and shrines to pop culture.
Moreover, two days before our return, two typhoons hit the Kanto region. Since it was impossible for us to go on our planned outing in Tokyo, we took the opportunity to have a great time at karaoke.
This internship will remain an unforgettable memory for the students throughout their lives.
２０２６年６月６日から２９日まで、本校の高校生３名、中学生６名が日本の関東地方にある５つの学校で３週間のイマージョン研修を行いました。
ホームステイで日本の家庭生活を体験し、学校では日本人生徒と同じように授業を受け、そして放課後は、生け花や弓道、競技かるたなど、さまざまなクラブ活動に参加できました。文化祭に参加できた生徒もいました。
さらには、寺社仏閣からポップカルチャーにいたるまで、日本の伝統や文化に存分に触れる素晴らしい機会になりました。
今年は地震が多く、揺れた日は4日、何度も揺れた日もあり、少し怖かったです。また帰国の二日前には二つの台風が関東地方を直撃し、東京散策ができない代わりにカラオケを楽しみました。
この研修は、生徒たちにとって、一生忘れられない思い出になったことと思います。
