National Torball Championship – CM1

Wednesday, March 25, a team of 6 fourth-grade students participated in a Torball tournament. Torball is a sport for people with visual impairments. To know the movement of the ball, there are small bells inside it. Two teams of three players compete against each other, trying to score goals by rolling the ball on the ground while defending their goal by lying in front of it. Each player is both an attacker and a defender. Alix, Electra, Lenaelle, Romy, and Théo accompanied their classmate Thaïs for a unique day of competition! After discovering Torball over 8 weeks with Sylvie, a specialized teacher, the small group took part in this national competition.

The day went very well, the children really enjoyed it. They played 6 matches in total, against teams of CM1/CM2 from several different cities. Ombrosa was positioned in the middle of the ranking, which is positive for a first participation in the tournament. All the children were motivated, focused, with a great team spirit and always a positive attitude. They can be proud of themselves 🙂 Congratulations to Alix, Electra, Lenaelle, Romy, Théo, and Thaïs!
